Oh What A Riot
20 years ago today I remember speaking with prospective adoptive parents of my son while watching the LA riots on TV. Because of the racial turmoil occurring at that time, that couple didn’t want to deal with the challenge of raising a biracial baby. Thank God. Two months to the day later, my son was born. A few days after that he went home with his Mommy, and I went home with mine. I’m so thankful that she was put in my life, and it is finally dawning on me that she got ready for a baby in less than 2 months! Happy early Mother’s Day to all the mom’s, biological, adoptive, serogate, foster, et all!
